ROADWORTHY

How to use ROADWORTHY

The guide follows a day on the road: set up once, then pre-trip, rolling, the 30, the 10-hour, and home. Everything you'll need later is under Reference.

Nothing in the guide matches that. Try a shorter word, or ask the Co-Driver.

Set up

Once, parked, about ten minutes.

Open the app and put it on your home screen

  1. Go to myroadworthiness.com/app.
  2. Android (Chrome): tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen. Or tap the banner the app shows you.
  3. iPhone (Safari): tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. On iPhone this step is required for alerts to work.

From then on, open ROADWORTHY from its icon like any other app.

Create your account

  1. Enter your email and a password of at least 8 characters, then tap Create account. Next time, use Sign in.
  2. Or tap Continue on this device only. It works, but your record stays on this phone and doesn't follow you if you change phones or carriers.

Your record belongs to you. If you change carriers, it comes with you.

Tell the Co-Driver about you

The first screen shows exactly what your fleet can and cannot see. Then fill in:

  • Your first name — what the Co-Driver will call you.
  • Your mobile — optional; it links some DoktorConnect programs.
  • Your terminal or office — type it the same way your fleet does, so broadcasts and the convoy find you.
  • When your medical card expires, and whether it's a 24-month, 12-month or 3-month card.
  • Optional, private: blood-pressure medication, insulin, CPAP, and whether you want Spanish.
  • Sharing choices: care team access to your record, rough location for the care team, and the Convoy leaderboard. You can change all of these later.

Tap I understand — start ROADWORTHY.

Want to look around first? Load a demo driver instead fills the app with a sample driver named Dale.

Link your ELD

If your fleet has connected its ELD, ROADWORTHY can read your real hours and your truck's location, so breaks and care land inside your legal clock.

  1. Go to Lane, scroll to Your ELD.
  2. Enter the email or name on your ELD profile and tap Link my ELD.

When it works, the clock on the Lane tab says Live from your ELD. Until then it says Estimated. Your ELD display is always the legal source of truth.

Take the MQ (eight minutes)

On Today, tap Take the MQ. It's forty statements, scored 1 (not me) to 5 (exactly me). It finds the barriers that stop you acting on your health, and it builds your 90-day plan. Your fleet never sees it.

Turn on alerts

Go to More → Home and tap Turn on alerts. Then messages from home and your care team reach you even when the app is closed. You'll need to be signed in with an email account.

Pre-trip

Before the first mile, while you're still parked.

Read your Today screen

  • Two dials. Readiness is your body today (0–100). MQ is your mindset score. Tap How these are worked out to see every point.
  • Today's program. One morning practice, one hourly reminder, what to do at your 30, and a short evening log — built from your MQ and today's biggest health issue.
  • Alertness forecast. The bars show when you're likely to get drowsy. The app moves your break before the dip.
  • Wallet. Your points and dollar balance.

Take a reading

Blood pressure first thing is the most useful reading of the day. Use your cuff (see Devices) or type it in under More → Log. Sit for two minutes, feet flat, cuff on a bare arm.

Play the morning brief

Tap Play my morning brief. The Co-Driver reads your readiness, your card countdown, when you'll get drowsy and where your break is planned. It also starts today's journal.

Do the four-minute wake-up

More → Engines → MOVE → Pre-trip wake-up. Photos show each move; tap Beat for a steady rhythm.

Rolling

Truck moving. Everything is by voice. Nothing to read.

Driving mode turns on by itself

Over about 8 mph — from your phone's location or your ELD — the screen switches to a dark driving view with one round button. The Co-Driver talks and listens; it never asks you to look down. When you stop, tap I'm parked, or it clears when the truck stops.

Never type, tap through screens or join video while the truck is moving. ROADWORTHY is built so you don't have to.

Talk to the Co-Driver

Tap the round button once and speak. Ask it anything about your day: “How's my card?”, “I'm tired”, “When's my break?”. The full list of commands is under Voice commands.

The hourly reminder

Once an hour the Co-Driver speaks one short line — from today's program, or your posture cue if you've had a posture check. It's meant to be quick, not a lecture.

Calls and meetings while rolling

Care visits, fleet meetings and the convoy radio all join audio only while you're moving. The camera turns on automatically when you park. Say “mute”, “unmute” or “leave call”.

Tell the convoy about the road

Say “report: crash ahead, mile 40”. Every driver in your office hears it. Say “join the convoy” for the open radio channel — your mic stays off until you say “unmute”.

Keep something in your journal

Say “journal:” and then whatever you want kept. The Co-Driver answers in one sentence and saves it to today's trip.

Play your music

Say “play my driving playlist.” It opens in your own music app, so it keeps playing while the Co-Driver talks over it. Set your playlists under More → Music.

The 30

Your 30-minute break, a fuel stop, any time you're parked.

Find your stop

Lane shows your hours left, your planned stops and the break placed before your drowsy dip. Tap Navigate in my truck GPS to send a stop to your navigation app.

Use a truck-routed app like Trucker Path, Hammer or CoPilot Truck. Choose it under More → Fleet & privacy → Truck GPS. Google and Apple Maps are car routes — they don't know bridge heights or weight limits.

Scroll down on Lane and tap Find stores near me and along the lane for Walmart stores and pharmacies near your route.

Stretch

More → Engines → MOVE. Pick what's bothering you — low back, neck, hips, legs, hands — and follow the routine at the truck. A physical therapist designed every one. Stop if anything hurts sharply.

Do today's one step

Today's program on the Today screen always has one small thing for your break: a reading, a pill, a walk, a call home. Do it, then tap Done.

Tell home you're okay

Tap I'm okay — tell home on the Today screen. Your family's link updates right away.

The 10-hour

Your long break. The time for doctors, devices and the evening log.

See a doctor (CareClix)

  1. More → Care visit → See a doctor — CareClix.
  2. The first time, fill in your name, date of birth, email and address, and tap Enroll with CareClix.
  3. CareClix emails you an activation link. Tap it once. Until you do, the doctor button can't sign you in.
  4. After that, tap Open my CareClix visit any time you're parked. It opens CareClix already signed in, with licensed US physicians 24/7.

You can also say “see a doctor” when you're parked.

Book a physical therapy visit

More → Care visit → Book a PT visit. Pick when works (tonight's 10-hour, tomorrow's 30, your next restart) and say what's going on. Your latest posture check and pain log go with it. When the care team sets a time, the Co-Driver tells you; say “join the meeting” when it's time.

Pair your devices

More → Devices. Bluetooth pairing works in Chrome or Edge on Android or a computer. iPhones can't pair in the browser yet — use the device's own app and import a CSV file instead.

DeviceWhat to do
Checkme SuiteTake your readings on the Checkme as usual. In the app, tap Checkme Suite, pick it from the list, then Pull readings. Blood pressure, oxygen, glucose and temperature come in.
O2Ring or CheckmeO2Tap O2Ring / CheckmeO2 and pick it. You'll see your oxygen and pulse live; tap Save to keep one. After a night's sleep, tap Pull readings for the whole night.
Standard cuff, scale, pulse-ox or heart-rate strapTurn the device on, tap the matching button, pick it, then take a reading.
Any device with an appExport a CSV from the device's app and choose it under Import CSV. Columns like systolic, weight, SpO2 and sleep hours are found automatically.

Every reading goes into your record and your care programs. Devices are for wellness screening — a high reading means talk to a doctor, not a diagnosis.

Check your sleep

More → Engines → SleepIQ asks eight yes-or-no questions about snoring, tiredness and blood pressure. If your risk is high, wear the O2Ring overnight and pull the reading in the morning. If your oxygen drops often, the app flags it for a sleep test and the care team follows up.

Get a posture check (every two weeks)

More → Engines → Posture Agent. Take two photos: standing side-on at the truck, and seated in the cab from the door. Ask another driver to take them, or prop your phone on the step — whole body in frame, phone level, stand the way you normally stand. You get findings, seat adjustments, the right MOVE routines and a posture cue for the road. Your PT sees it; your fleet never does.

Do your evening log

On Today's program, tap Evening log. Say whether you did the morning practice, what pulled you off course, and one sentence to set up tomorrow. It takes ten minutes, and it's how your plan learns.

Check your hearing (Otivo)

The DOT exam tests your hearing — a forced whisper at five feet, or an audiogram averaging 40 dB or better in your good ear. More → Engines → Otivo — Hearing checks it in about ten minutes with any earbuds, before the examiner does. Do it somewhere quiet, parked; the app won't start it while you're moving. Your result comes back to the Card tab as a runway check.

Check your eyes (OCIVO)

The exam also tests vision: 20/40 or better in each eye and both together, at least 70 degrees of side vision in each eye, and telling red, amber and green apart. More → Engines → OCIVO — Vision checks acuity and colour on your phone. Glasses fix most of what fails this — finding out tonight beats finding out on exam day.

Check your card runway

The Card tab shows days until your medical card expires and where your blood pressure would put you today:

Blood pressureCard you'd likely get
Under 140/902 years
140–159 / 90–991 year
160–179 / 100–1093 months, one time only
180/110 or higherNot certified until under 140/90

Your runway also tracks the two things people forget: hearing and vision, from the screens above. No screen on file shows as an action, not a pass.

Inside 90 days of your exam, the app opens a runway: steady readings, a doctor review in your break, and your glucose or CPAP records ready for the examiner. ROADWORTHY never certifies anyone — the DOT physical is always with a certified medical examiner. After your exam, check that your result posted to your record within a few days.

Restart & home

Your 34-hour restart, and the people waiting for you.

Set up your Home link

  1. More → Home, turn the link on.
  2. Choose what your family can see: your status message, roughly where you are, how your day is, and when you'll be home.
  3. Tap Share and send the link. Anyone with it can see only what you allow.

Family open it on any phone — no app, no account. They can send you a message that the Co-Driver reads aloud at your next stop. If you go 36 hours without checking in, the link shows you as overdue. You can also add Cash App, Venmo or Zelle so family can send you fuel money straight to your own account.

End the trip and keep a memory

More → Journal → End trip → make a memory. The Co-Driver writes a short page about your trip from your words and its own notes. Keep it, have it read to you, or share it to your Home link.

Want your family, dispatch or another driver to add a line? Turn on Let people add to today's memoir and send the link. They see one question, never your journal, and nothing goes in unless you tap Keep. At the end of the year, Print turns your memories into a book.

Harbor Care — free, any time

If the road gets dark — a bad night, thoughts you wouldn't say out loud — Harbor Care is open to you. It costs nothing, whatever plan you're on and whoever you drive for, and nobody at your fleet is told.

  • On Today, tap Open Harbor Care, or find it under More → Harbor Care.
  • By voice, say “I need help” or “I'm struggling.” If you're moving, the Co-Driver stays with you and waits until you're stopped.
  • Right now, in the US: call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. In danger: 911.

Harbor opens in its own app, with a safety plan you build once, someone to talk to, and people on call. Nothing in it goes back to your fleet or your carrier.

Check your 90-day plan

More → Pathway shows every day of your 90, what's done and what's next. Three 30-day phases, one barrier each. The day moves forward with the calendar; you can also tap Mark day done or Skip to day.

Cash out your points

You earn points for showing up: readings, streak days, plan days, MOVE sessions, check-ins and journal entries. Never for a health number. More → Wallet shows your balance. When your fleet or sponsor funds the wallet, cash out as a Love's, Pilot, Walmart or Visa card by email.

Report an injury

Say “I'm hurt”, or go to More → Report an injury.

  1. If it's serious, tap Serious — call 911 now.
  2. Otherwise tap what happened, where it hurts, your pain from 0 to 10, and whether you can keep driving. Add a note or photo if you like.
  3. Tap Submit report.

The report is stamped with the time, your location and hours driven. It goes to the care team and your fleet's safety office — an injury report is the one thing your fleet is meant to see. If you can't keep driving, the app tells you not to.

What your fleet sees — and never sees

Your fleet sees: totals for your whole office (never you alone), how many cards are due in the next 90 days, program participation, and injury reports you file.

Your fleet never sees: any diagnosis, reading or test result; anything you tell the Co-Driver or a doctor; your MQ; your journal; drug and alcohol information (ROADWORTHY never touches the Clearinghouse). Any number from fewer than ten drivers is hidden automatically.

Change what you share any time under More → Fleet & privacy.

Switch to Spanish

Tap EN at the top of the app, or go to More → Fleet & privacy → Language. The screens, the Co-Driver's voice and your daily program all switch.

In an emergency, call 911. Chest pain, weakness on one side, fainting, trouble breathing, or a serious injury — pull over safely and call.

If you're struggling, call or text 988, the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, any time. And Harbor Care is free for every driver — Today screen, More menu, or say “I need help.” No plan needed, nothing said to your fleet.

ROADWORTHY is not a medical examiner and never certifies anyone.

If something isn't working

The Co-Driver doesn't hear me

Allow microphone access when your phone asks. Voice works best in Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone. If it still doesn't hear you, type in the Co-Driver tab — replies are still spoken.

I can't pair my device

Use Chrome or Edge on Android or a computer; iPhone browsers can't pair Bluetooth. Turn the device on first, keep it close, and make sure your phone's Bluetooth and location are on. If the device isn't in the list, export a CSV from its own app and import it.

Alerts don't arrive

Sign in with an email account, then tap Turn on alerts under More → Home and allow notifications. On iPhone, open ROADWORTHY from its home-screen icon — Apple only allows alerts that way.

“Open my CareClix visit” says my account isn't found

Find the activation email from CareClix (check spam) and tap “Click here to verify.” The link is good for 30 days. Then try again.

The hearing or vision screen won't open

Park first — both refuse to start while the truck is moving. If the tile says the link isn't switched on for your site, your office turns it on. If it says no screen is on file, you haven't taken one yet: tap the button to take it.

My hours say “Estimated”

Your ELD isn't linked yet, or your fleet hasn't connected it. Link it under Lane → Your ELD. If it can't find you, ask your safety office what email or name is on your ELD profile.

My plan is stuck on the same day

Open More → Pathway. The day moves with the calendar from when you started, or from the day after the last one you marked done. Tap Mark day done or Skip to day to move it on.

Something is in English after I switched to Spanish

A few lines aren't translated yet. They'll switch as the translation grows; nothing is lost.

I got a new phone

Sign in with the same email and password. Everything in your record comes back. If you used “Continue on this device only,” the record stayed on the old phone.

I want to start over on this phone

More → Fleet & privacy → Reset this device. It clears this phone and signs you out. Nothing is sent to your fleet.
